Shieldex® Fabrics

Some Shieldex® products from Statex can be provided with an additional coating to protect them from corrosion. A double-sided and customized coating of the products is also possible (polyurethane, silicone, etc.). Besides many other positive properties such as antibacterial and fungicidal, silver is the best electrical conductor of all precious metals, it is EMC shielding and thermally conductive. These positive characteristcs are used in a textile form.

Advantages

  • For our products, we use only pure silver with a purity of at least 99 % and deliberately distance ourselves from harmful nanosilver!
  • Due to our unique metallization process, our long-living premium EMC fabrics are robust, wash- and durable, resistant to abrasion and have increased EMC shielding compared to other products.

User Benefits

  • Due to the antibacterial effect of silver, the areas of application of our Shieldex® fabrics are very diverse. Our products are used as technical shielding materials or for medical and sensory applications.

Shieldex® Berlin

The fabric is thermally and electrically highly conductive. Silver has an antibacterial effect and thus the fabric itself shields from electromagnetic radiation. In addition, the fabric is coated on one side with a conductive polyurethane, which makes it particularly resistant to environmental influences

Shieldex® Nora Dell RS

Silver-plated and additionally coated with copper and nickel. The additional coating increases the conductivity of the fabric enormously. Extremely good conductivity of 9 mΩ/□, resulting from the copper and nickel coating.

Shieldex® Zell

Silver-plated and additionally coated with copper and tin. Due to the tin coating, the fabric is solderable and thus enables good bonding.

Shieldex® Kiel Wallpaper + Shieldex® Kiel

This thermally bonded non-woven fabric is conductive (thermal and electrical) and shields against electromagnetic radiation. In industry, the nonwoven is mainly used in products that ensure EMC protection or antistatic dissipation.

The special thing about Shieldex® Kiel Wallpaper is the paper back, which makes it possible to process the fleece with a standard paste.

Shieldex® Kiel is also available in a third version, as Shieldex® Kiel SK96. The special feature is the self-adhesive back of the wallpaper, which makes it possible to process the fleece without using paste.

Shieldex® Silitex

The hybrid knitted fabric consists of polyamide and elastane. Due to the special weave structure of elastane, the material is stretchable on both sides. In addition, the fabric is coated on one side with a conductive silicone, which makes it very resistant to mechanical stress.

Shieldex® Nora Dell RS CR

Silver-plated and additionally coated with copper and nickel. The additional coating increases the conductivity of the fabric enormously. Extremely good conductivity of 9 mΩ/□, resulting from the copper and nickel coating. Furthermore, this fabric is equipped with an additional coating (CR), which makes the fabric compatible for clean room applications.

Shieldex® Nora Dell 100

Silver-plated and additionally coated with copper and nickel. The additional coating increases the conductivity of the fabric enormously. Compared to our product Shieldex® Nora Dell RS, Shieldex® Nora Dell 100 has an even higher shielding effectiveness of 0.005 Ω/□.

Shieldex® Spacer Fabric

Knitted spacer fabrics open unlimited opportunities for product development, ranging from healthcare, safety, military and automotive to aviation and fashion.

Shieldex® Spacer Fabrics consist of two separate metallized polyamide substrate layers, which are connected by an isolated pile yarn. This production method guarantee an air flow regulation. In addition, the pile yarn makes it possible to implement both, an electrical switch and a capacitive sensor.

Two different configurations of the conductive surface finishing are available.
